Unremarkable

Buzzcut

I've had the same haircut for a decade. I keep it a bit longer at the top and short at the sides. It just works for me.

But one late evening at the end of July of last year, I was fed up. Fed up with the summer heat, fed up with my frustrating job, it went as far as being fed up with my haircut! In an attempt to demonstrate my fed-upness to the world, I pulled out my razor. I looked at myself in the mirror.

My very tired self looked back and gave me a glance:

Are you sure about this? Maybe you should go to sl...

But "buzzzzzzzz" the razor went and off was my hair.

I want my hair back

"There! I showed you, world!", I thought and went to sleep. The next morning, I wanted my hair back.

I held my freshly cut off hair in my hands as I bowed down in front of my bathfroom mirror.

Whyyyyyyy.

Well, at least that's how I remember it.

The tradition

But then, something happened.

All of a sudden, I liked the buzzcut:

A yearly tradition was born.

Last but not least, if you really just want to be fed up, it's time to get a buzzcut.
